All the big names from the best European stud books are present in his pedigree and his maternal line comes from major international winners up to the highest 5* level: Contargo Blue, San Chano, Toulonia, or Landgold, all are performers in grand prix 1.60m. Himself regularly ranked up to the 1.55m Grand Prix with Grégory Wathelet then with his rider and owner Cindy van der Straten, Cartaro 2 has all the qualities necessary to make him a breeder of choice. His father CARINUE is a son of the famous Carthago, a great international winner under the saddle of Dutch rider Jos Lansink. Together they have participated in the biggest world events, European Championships, Olympic Games in Atlanta and Sydney, Nations Cups... His 2nd dam CAROUET, has also produced numerous international winners including: Toulonia (Toulon), great winner in 1.60m classes under Mexican colors; Centolou PS (Centadel), CSI 1.50m, or even Chesterfield 33 (Charity), Quilou 2 (Quintender) and Elvilou PS (Chacco-Blue), all good winners in show jumping. His 3rd dam CARIJA J, is a daughter of Balou du Rouet, who appears in the world Top 20 of the best sires of CSI winners for the sixth consecutive year. Its production is exceptional in quality and it brings the best European bloodstreams. Cartaro 2 also comes from the line of the stallion Landgold (Landfriese I x Ritual) who evolved at the highest level under the saddles of Katharina Offel and Grégory Wathelet.
